Composer, pianist, Matthew Shipp, returns to NDJ, to discuss his most recent release, Art of the Improviser.

Later in the program we are joined by saxophonist, arranger, poet, Roy Nathanson, to talk about his most recent project with The Jazz Passengers, Reunited.

Also, this afternoon, a special tribute to Lou Reed, who celebrated his 69th birthday this past week.
